Erica and Jill are two Tahoe residents taking climate action for their community by offering a way for residents to divert their food scraps from the landfill more easily. They established a residential pilot program in November of 2022. The pilot program was successful, and Erica and Jill officially launched Tahoe Composts as a nonprofit in 2024. They work full-time jobs while running Tahoe Composts.
